In this conversation, we chat with Gwendolyn Regina, Investment Director at BNB Chain. Her main responsibilities include streamlining processes around deal sourcing, investment strategy, portfolio management and growth. As a part of her role she invests in promising projects in the web3 and MetaFi space (GameFi, SocialFi, NFTs etc.), and leads the MVB incubation program, which she set up.
Gwen was the head of venture capital partnerships at Meta and built its startup fast-track growth program. Before that, she was Entrepreneur-in-Residence at deep tech investment fund, Entrepreneur First, based in Paris. Prior to that, Gwen built and sold the tech media startup, SGEntrepreneurs to Tech in Asia. Gwen also spearheaded Mashable's expansion into Asia and as a professional host, she hosted a TV documentary on the Internet of Things for ChannelNewsAsia.

So, the mandate, really the goal is to grow crypto and to onboard one billion users to the crypto as a nice round number that collectively we think is a good goal for everyone to have as a north star. And to do that BNB Chain core team and BNB Chain we're looking at many different things. So first of course as making sure that as a whole the industry is even more secure because obviously security has a lot of scams, spams, stuff like that. Such stuff will always exist in the first nascent stages of any kind of technology in any field. So that's part and parcel so to speak. But security has been one important thing where, for example, at BNB Chain we launched this product called Red Alarm. So Red Alarm resides on DAppBay, which is a place where we use market data to rank the top DeFi, GameFi, just the top DApps on BNB Chain.
But Red Alarm, really, we just launched it and it looks at projects and highlights high risk projects so that everyone can be warned against interacting with them. That's one key thing. And I think the second key thing in terms of thinking about how to reach this goal is to really think about…
